It was with surprise and joy that I answered the phone a few months ago and the voice on the other end told me that then-Mayor Elect of Rochester, Malik D. Evans, had requested that I offer an invocation at his inauguration ceremony. I am delighted to share with you here the words of blessing I spoke at that ceremony, in early January.
